RICKY MARTIN TAKES OVER THE FILMORE IN A SOLD OUT SHOW

In Miami Beach on Oct. 10th, Ricky Martin was the first entertainer to perform at the new Filmore at the Jackie Gleason Theater. After Ricky's performance, the mayor of Miami Beach presented Martin with a key to the city.

"I've been in Miami living as a resident of Miami Beach for the last 10 years, and it is an honor. I love this place, I love this city and I will talk about Puerto Rico and, of course, about Miami Beach everywhere I go," Martin states in a press conference late Wednesday afternoon in regards to getting a key.

The Filmore located off 17th St. is a city owned venue that has a seating capacity of 2,500. The former Jackie Gleason Theater was under construction for about a year and underwent $4 million in renovations including a new sound system.

Ricky Martin is performing on Oct 11th and Oct 12th to both sold out concerts. Martin will have 9 wardrobe changes each night and promises to sing his hits. Everybody wants to see him perform She Bangs, Living the Vida Loca, and She's All I Ever Had.

Upcoming performances at the Filmore will be Fallout Boy, Kid Rock and Sarah Silverman.
